Flexible Black Box configuration based on the type of installation. Compatible with any XGA SXGA resolution monitor.

IMO approved

The FAR1518BB nautical radar has been designed to obtain excellent target resolution thanks to the new latest generation antenna. The marine radar complies with the IMO Cat 2 and Cat 3 regulations. For units of tonnage below 500GT the marine radar is approved with Furuno monitor model MU-150HD, while for units of tonnage between 500 and 10,000 GT the marine radar is approved with the Furuno monitor model MU-190.

Automatic Clutter Elimination (ACE)

This new function allows the improvement of the visualization of the targets through a dedicated ACE command. Once activated, the system automatically adjusts the clutter, anti-sea and anti-rain filters based on the user's pre-selection (calm/rough sea/heavy rain).

Fast Target Tracking™ (ARPA)

The target tracking™ (ARPA) function has been significantly improved by significantly reducing the target acquisition time. All the new FAR-15XX series marine radars provide advanced ARPA 50 targets functionality thanks to which the marine radar is able to lock on the targets automatically in a very few moments.

Radar overlay on ECDIS and MaxSea TIMEZERO

As with the FAR21x7 model, it is possible to overlay the radar beat and ARPA targets for the FAR-15X3 and FAR-15X8 models, both on the Furuno ECDIS and on the MaxSea navigation software (check compatible MaxSea versions). An ethernet connection between the two devices is sufficient.

Touch pad and mouse operation

Thanks to the completely redesigned control unit with integrated touch pad, you can perform operations on the machine easier and faster.
